Aside from your mattress, selecting the right pillow is one of the most important choices you can make for your sleep health. For that reason, many new pillow startups like Pluto and MyPillow have begun revolutionizing the pillow and designing pillows they claim provide a better night’s sleep. In fact, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is so confident in his product that he’s giving away 50,000 MyPillows free – with a catch. To land a free MyPillow, all you have to do is participate in one of the world’s largest pillow fights ever, and possibly break a Guinness World Record in the process. What do you have to lose?
Well, aside from your dignity after losing your contact lenses in a giant pillow fight. The pillow fight is set to take place May 18th at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, home of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings. The previous Guinness World Record for largest pillow fight was established in 2015 when 6,621 people fought with MyPillows during a St. Paul Saints minor league baseball game. Lindell and MyPillow hope to get 66,000 people out to break the record again at this year’s event.
The Guinness World Record pillow fight event is hosted by Pulse, a Minneapolis-based prayer and evangelism outreach movement which is popular among millennial Christian groups in the area. Lindell is a die-hard believer, going from a crack-cocaine addict to the CEO of MyPillow thanks to his faith. Lindell hopes to give back through the event, which will also no doubt be a great promotion for MyPillow.
If you’re unfamiliar with MyPillow, you should give it a shot. MyPillow is the official pillow of the National Sleep Foundation and for good reason. The revolutionary open-cell, poly-foam pillow is designed to hold the head and neck in an optimal position throughout the entire night regardless of sleepers’ sleep position. Each MyPillow comes with a ten-year warranty and is made right here in the United States.
